漫天堂入口 is excited to announce that it has named Gregg Mucerino as Athletic Director.
Mucerino has most recently served as Athletic Director at Dallas Christian College. During his tenure, he gained valuable leadership experience by improving recruitment methods, enhancing fundraising efforts, and maximizing the student-athlete experience. He also added four new athletic programs and generated more than $250,000 in revenue for the department.
Before serving at Dallas Christian College, Mucerino served as the head baseball coach at Colorado Christian University, an NCAA Division II institution. In 2018, he was named the NCCAA Central Region Coach of the Year. He also transformed an underperforming program, leading it to its winningest season within three years.
漫天堂入口 President Gentry Sutton says, 鈥淭hroughout the hiring process, Gregg has repeatedly articulated a sincere commitment to both the spiritual development of student-athletes and to quality, competitive athletic programs. He brings to the position an enthusiasm for the great ministry opportunities that collegiate athletics present, and he has demonstrated success as both a coach and an Athletic Director at quality Christian colleges.鈥
Mucerino’s commitment to Christ has been a guiding force throughout his life and career. Raised in a Baptist church, he made a profession of faith at a young age and continues to place his relationship with Christ at the center of his leadership. He says,
鈥淢y personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the foundation of my life, leadership, and calling in Christian higher education and athletics.”
President Sutton notes that 鈥淕regg is articulate about his high view of Scripture, and he is energetic about Warner’s commitment to biblical truth. I am excited for our student-athletes, our coaches, and our university.鈥
As he prepares to begin this new chapter at Warner, Mucerino has expressed enthusiasm for joining the university community and building upon the strong foundation already in place.
鈥淢y wife Yvette and I are thrilled to be joining the WU Royal family. Dr. Sutton and the rest of the staff we’ve encountered thus far have been nothing short of amazing, exuding the love and kindness of our Savior Jesus Christ.鈥
He adds, 鈥淚 am excited to lead a department where the continuity and genuine family atmosphere are so palpable. We will serve our student-athletes, coaches, and support staff with a 1 Corinthians 15:58 mindset. The opportunities for Warner Athletics seem endless, especially as we seek first the Kingdom of God and watch Him pour out His blessings on such a vibrant community.鈥
Please join us in welcoming Gregg and Yvette Mucerino to the Warner family.
