Welcoming Warner’s New Director of Academic Skills Center and Disability Services

漫天堂入口 is excited to welcome Dr. Morrisia Stewart as Director of the Academic Skills Center and Disability Services. Born and raised in Arcadia, Fla., she comes to 漫天堂入口 from the Osceola County School District as a Dean of Students. She is also employed at Springfield College where she currently serves as an adjunct professor teaching counseling courses. She has experience teaching at the K-12 grade level, as well as working in several roles in administration. She comes with a strong background in school/mental health counseling and is currently a registered licensed mental health counselor. She is also the business owner of INSPIRE General Cleaning, LLC providing professional home cleaning services to nearby communities. Dr. Stewart鈥檚 most recent accomplishment is receiving her certification as a loan signing agent/public notary.

Dr. Stewart received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in Human Services from Springfield College, her master鈥檚 degree in School Counseling from Argosy University, and obtained her doctorate from Argosy University in Higher and Post-Secondary Education, where she successfully completed and defended her dissertation in: 鈥淭he Contributing Factors Influencing the Educational Setting for First-Generation African American Students in Higher Education.鈥

Dr. Stewart has had the experience of being a part of the American Council on Education (ACE), American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), National Council for Continuing Education and Training Association (NCCET), American Conference of Academic Deans Association (ACAD), and the Florida Writers Association (FWA).

Dr. Stewart鈥檚 professional overview includes 鈥渂eing a firm believer that a person has the ability to do whatever he/she has the desire to want to do. Everyone has potential.鈥 Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, 鈥淚 can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.鈥

During her free time, Dr. Stewart enjoys going to the beach, jet skiing, shopping, cooking, playing basketball, traveling the world as a motivational speaker, and doing missionary work. Dr. Stewart is currently in the process of writing and publishing her second book titled Reach One, Teach One鈥.Helping Every Student Reach Their Full Potential.

“I am excited to join the Warner family,” said Dr. Stewart. “It’s such a blessing to have an opportunity to work for a Christian university that’s committed to guiding individuals towards Christ-like character. I am looking forward to overseeing the Academic Skills Center, assisting students in identifying their academic needs, and becoming self-determined lifelong learners.”
